The name “denim” comes from the name of a sturdy fabric called “Serge de Nîmes”, initially made in Nîmes, France, hence “de Nîmes”.Denim was initially applied to jeans as working clothes. Originally the symbol of disobedience, denim became one of the most used fashion fabrics. The history of denim is long and colourful, so is that of Miffy.

Miffy is a small female rabbit in a series of picture books drawn and written by Dutch artist Dick Bruna. The original Dutch name, "Nijntje", is a shortening of the diminutive konijntje, "little rabbit". The first Miffy book was produced in 1953, and almost 30 others have followed. In total they have sold over 85 million copies, and led to two separate television series, a feature-length film as well as items such as toys and clothes featuring the character.
